I SAW SOMETHING NICE

MAKE A STATEMENT - be a lady!

where my pearls at? be special and rock a hat! mix and match as you feel and dont be afraid to mix winter accessories and summer dresses - it CAN look stunning! this outfit has a touch of "Breakfast at Tiffany’s" and an almost southern state feeling. have you wondered how it was in New Orleans in the 1920’s visiting a French Quarter neighborhood? I think this outfit brings this atmosphere into 2014 and shows a way to wear a white dress with pearls combined with a red felt hat!

we made a statement - what about YOU?

I had so much fun shooting this look - thank you Jaswant and Simone!

NEW!Striplac by Alessandro its a big thing these days to do your nails like a pro at home. I question that and therefore had to try the Starter Kit by Alessandro. You get a red nailpolish, a clear twin base and top, a file, a cleaning pads and the most important UV/LED lamp. I read the manual and then started to do my left hand leaving out the thumb. After cleaning my nails with the cleansing pad, mmmhhmm, they smell like apricot! I start with the clear Twin and let it dry in the lamp for 60 seconds, then I apply the color and again I let it dry in the lamp for 60 seconds. As the last step I again apply the twin polish and I really make sure to cover the tip of my nails. now on to the right hand, which of course is always a bit harder than the left hand.. the same procedure: twincoat on 4 fingers (leave thumb out) dry for 60 seconds, then apply color, let it dry for 60 seconds and then finish with the twin polish and let it dry for 60 seconds. now I do the exact same thing to my thumbnails. Now all my fingernails are painted and I clean the top with the cleansing pad. It looks so nice and the best thing is: IT IS DRY! Wow! I was really amazed!
The product claims to last up to 10 days and I can tell you it lasts even longer on my nails.. :) I got more colors and tried the product on my friends nails. I will show you all the different colors in another post, stay tuned!
How to remove the nailpolish? thats a very simple step, you just have to peel it off. I have never had problems to remove the nailpolish but I read that there is a peeloff oil in order to remove the nailpolish.
I have to admit that I really didnt expect such a nice result! It was easy to apply and it last for more than 2 weeks! I can therefore highly recommend this product.
NOTE: some of the nailpolishes tend to pull back, it must sound weird now but if you have tried this and experienced the same you will know what I mean :) so when this happens try to dry each nail after painting for 10 seconds, like this it will not run back and you can continue to paint the rest and then dry all fingers for another 60 seconds.
stay tuned for my Striplac color demonstration! xx

SENSAI SILKY BRONZE

"the sun is shining the weather is sweet.." so lets see what SENSAI is presenting this Summer! I got the Sensai Silky Bronze Cellular Protective Cream for Face SPF 50 - Silky Bronze Self Taning for Face - Silky Bronze Sun Protective Compact - Silky Bronze Cellular Protective Cream for Body SPF 30 and I have used these products for the last couple of sunny days! I can directly compare this collection with the Lancaster Sun Control products that I have also recently tested. so let me tell you what I think about the Silky Bronze collection:

Silky Bronze Cellular Protective Cream for Face SPF 50
a very nice cream and super easy to apply. I think SPF 50 is perfect for the face but its also available in SPF 15 and SPF 30 and it is waterresisitant!

Silky Bronze Self Taning for Face
I did not use this product yet, I will keep you posted!

Silky Bronze Sun Protective Compact SPF 30
I love bronzing compact powders and especially this one! it has the perfect shade and matte finish without any shimmer. It can be used dry or wet and is waterresistant. this is my favorite product out of the Sensai Silky Bronze Collection and I would definitely repurchase it!

Silky Bronze Cellular Protective Cream for Body SPF 30
like the one for the face it is also a very nice light cream that is very easy to apply. I used it this sunday and I was in the direct sunlight at the river for about 3 hours in the afternoon and I didnt get any sun burn. Its only available in SPF 30 which I consider a bit low. to be very honest I dont really like the smell of these creams or maybe its just because I prefere the smell of the Lancaster Sun Control products that I have also recently tested.

did you use the Sensai Silky Bronze products?

SWEET ME

awww. my new swatch watch is called sweet me - its part of the pastry chef collection. I saw this collection for the first time in London during the fashionweek and I was amazed by the sweet colors and details. Swatch says they were inspired by sweet macaroon when designing this watch - and I can really see this relation. vanilla and raspberry - mmhhm!
its the most comfortable watch I have ever worn.. super light and such a soft strap made out of silicone - the perfect watch for summer!

make a STATEMENT

be unique, stand out, embrace yourself and feel beautiful with LARA PATRIZIA VOGT earrings! I found my special pair of statement earrings via ETSY and was able to meet the creator of these gorgeous pieces and ask her 3 questions. thank you Lara, it was wonderful to meet you!

INTERVIEW

#what inspired you to make jewelry?

Colors and large pieces of jewelry have fascinated me ever since. One day my heavenly friends asked me to create them by myself.I greatly enjoy to combine colors, to make them flow into each other. I love to feel them, smell them, honor them. For me, it feels like embracing a rainbow.

And as Kandinsky said:

“The deeper the colors become, the more strongly they call man towards the infinite, awakening in him a desire for the pure and, finally, for the supernatural.”

#what kind of materials do you use?

I use resin and polymer clay for the frames, pearls, rhinestones, self-printed images, pigments and much time and patience. I need about two hours to create one pair of earrings.

#are these unique earrings?

Yes!  As every living being is unique, all of my earrings are one of a kind.

I also love custom orders. You can choose the color of the frame, the image and the pearls or rhinestones and between pierced (stud) earrings, clip-ons or hanging earrings. The earrings are very lightweight and thus comfortable to wear. I also create necklaces and smaller earrings.
